The main bar formerly George Patterson House, is located on the ground level. The heritage aspects of the building have been retained, including 16 magnificent 5 metre high cast iron columns and intricate pressed metal ceilings. Establishment bar incorporates a lounge seating area together with the unique feature of a 42 metre marble bar which stretches predominantly the length of the room.

The Hotel also contains a functions centre with several rooms including a ballroom and Avsound are delighted to supply the audio visual expretise required to keep this busy venue operating at peak efficiency.

The rooms are on numerous levels and the installation has been factored to give each and every room access to a multitude of presentation technologies via one central AMX touch screen switching system.

The speakers are high end Martin cabinets and the control system utilises BSS London Blue interfaces with overall control provided by an AMX touchscreen system.

Avsound have been engaged by Justin Hemmes and the Merivale Group to supply expertise and design skills for their new venue "Ivy", due for completion later in 2008. Ivy will continue in the Merivale tradition of supplying the CBD of Sydney with outstanding conferencing and entertainment facilities.
