Bungalow 8 is located on Sydney’s most stylish waterfront property, the King Street Wharf. Bungalow 8 presents as a seafood bistro during the day and morphs into a leading bar venue by night, on an absolute waterfront location combining outside and inside dining and relaxing.
Cutting edge Australian Architect, Dale Jones-Evans, has created a unique and decorative space inside the venue. Set off by hanging lamps of paper and reed, a ceiling of split, black-lacquered bamboo is illuminated by a backlit bar and yellow-tones light. Extending out across the wharf, where rippling water echoes the undulations of the bamboo. The outdoor section provides shade from daytime sun and views of the night sky and harbour by night.
Bungalow 8 can cater for up to 1200 people and also for smaller bookings in reserved areas overlooking the harbour. Food and beverage packages can be tailored especially for your event. We are able to offer certain areas of Bungalow 8 for private functions, luncheon birthday parties, conferences, meetings, farewells and large scale events and Christmas parties. We can offer a choice of three spaces: the entire venue, the Champagne Garden and the new Bungalow 8 Marquee.
