David brings to Avsound 20 years experience as a professional Audio Engineer. He started his career as a Studio assistant at Rhinoceros Studios in the mid 80’s. Graduating to house engineer by the year 1986. David has many recording credits with some of Australia’s iconic bands from the 80’s. Through the late 80’s and early 90’s David continued recording as a freelance engineer with studio’s 301 and Festival Records and Earth Media.

Developing a thirst for live music David concentrated his direction towards Stadium and Arena sound production. In 1994 he started working for Jands Production Services, one of Australia’s premier production houses. David stayed with JPS until 1998 having clocked up many tours with some of the worlds finest performers including Sting, Prince, Sir Elton Jon, Sir Bob Geldolf and many more.

In late 98 David was privileged to have the opportunity work for Oceania Audio operating FOH for his first Rock Musical “the Rocky Horror Picture Show” at StarCity. David stayed on with Oceania in the capacity of monitor engineer on 350 shows of “Buddy Holly” the musical. This show ran for 18 months across Australia, NZ and Singapore.

In 2003-4 having come full circle in his career David decided to further his education by enrolling at the University of Sydney to do a Post Grad Degree in Audio Design and Digital Audio Systems whilst working for Broadcast manufacturing giant Klotz Digital.
