Services
Avsound will provide remedial services as requested by the customer or as determined necessary by Avsound to meet the customer’s requirements.
In instances where work is related to software, Avsound will install or upgrade customer provide software to the vendor’s specification in line with existing DA limitations where we are aware that such conditions exist.
Estimations & Repairs
A fair estimation on any work required cannot be made without inspection and diagnostic testing. If the client does not wish Avsound to proceed with quoted repairs then an estimation fee will be charged. If the estimate is accepted, the estimation fee will be waived and will be deducted from the total repair charge.
Equipment deemed uneconomical to repair will be disposed of at client’s expense if unclaimed after 3 months.
Equipment repair quotes will be provided in writing on request. All repairs will be made using manufacturer original parts where possible. All equipment repairs carry a 3 month limited warranty. (limited to repaired parts)
Disposal of Uncollected Goods
Goods not claimed after 3 months of notification of repair cost estimate will be disposed of to recoup repair cost. This is in line with the provision of the relevant State Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act.
Hire Replacement Equipment
The Service department will charge the first weekly hire at 2 day rate (unless under a program). Subsequent weeks will be charged by the Hire department to a maximum of 3 additional weeks. We aim to repair the equipment within this period. If we do not achieve this then no additional hire charges will be required.
Any damage to substituted equipment is chargeable.
The maximum hire charge we will charge will be 4 weeks. Once we have provided you with a repair quote or quote for a replacement unit we will give you a 7 days grace period to accept our quote. After this the hire charge will recommence until we receive a go ahead on the quote provided.
